Bay is Blizzard Beach's wave pool, here you won't find the large
waves that slap the shore of Typhoon Lagoon, but a bobbing wave
pool, one acre in size. Located at the base of "Mount Gushmore",
this skiers paradise is constantly fed by melting snow waterfalls.
The Chair Lift allows guests to reach
the top of Mount Gushmore with ease; it is equipped with a gondola
for guests with disabilities. No infants or lap riding is allowed,
and expectant mothers also should not ride.
Summit Plummet offers those brave
enough, a ride at speeds up to 60 miles per hour down a 350-foot
slide. You must be at least four foot tall to ride this thrill ride,
which is visible from anywhere in the park.
Teamboat Springs is a thrilling
1,200-foot white water raft ride, which takes ski resort guests down
a twisting slope of rushing waterfalls. Your raft will hold 3 to 5
people.
Toboggan Racers lets guest "belly
ride" on a mat, down one of 8 water slide lanes, each 250 feet in
length. You travel head first down the snowy slopes and thrilling
dips.
Snow Stormers is a set of three
flumes, which descend from the top of Mount Gushmore. Enjoy your
ride, on a "toboggan", down a switchback course through slalom
gates.
Cross-Country Creek is this parks
version of a 3,000-foot lazy waterway, which circles the entire
park. Hop on a tube and you'll float through an ice chilling ice
cave, as you're pelted with "melting ice" from overhead.
Slusher Gusher is a tamer water
slide, which takes you through 2 dips down this mountain gully.
Guests must be 48 inches to ride this 90-foot tall water slide.
The Downhill Double Dipper has ski
guests racing down 230 foot, side by side racing slides at speeds up
to 25 miles per hour.
Runoff Rapids is an inner tube run
which has you swooshing down twisting, turning flumes, two of which
are open, and one which is an enclosed black hole. You can enjoy
this ride in single, double, or triple tubes.
Ski Patrol Training Camp is an area
designed for preteens. Walk along floating "ice bergs" while trying
not to fall into the water, slide down an "old pipe" into eight feet
of water in Frozen Pipe Springs, and at Ski Patrol Shelter, kids
grab onto a T bar and take an airborne ride, until they decide to
let go and drop in the water below.
Also among the fun things to do here
are Snow Falls, Cool Runners, and the Thin Ice Training Course, all
of which offer your preteen a day of fun in the sun.
Tike's Peak is big fun for little
ones. Here you will find mini water slides, a snow-castle fountain
for the wee ones to play in, a squirting ice pond, and rideable
"creatures". MAXIMUM height to enjoy this area is 4 feet tall.
Wondering where to dine in this "ski
lovers" paradise?? Lottawatta Lodge, Avalunch, and the Warming Hut
offer typical park fare, or bring your picnic basket and relax in
one of the picnic areas. The Polar Pub and Frostbite Freddies offer
snacks and cool drinks. Please note, no alcoholic beverages or glass
containers are allowed in the park.
Brought your boots but forgot your
sunscreen?? The Beach Haus has a variety of beach items for your
shopping pleasure.
Locker Rooms with changing facilities
and showers are offered near the entrance to the park. Small lockers
