With its British theme,
the Grosvenor (pronounced “grove-nor”), has a fair share of European
guests in its 626 rooms on 13 landscaped acres. The hotel is located
in the Downtown Disney area, directly across the street from the
entrance to the Downtown Disney Marketplace, the Pleasure Island
entertainment complex, and Westside, so shopping and entertainment
are only steps away. Inside the hotel, a spacious lobby with palms,
floral carpets, and wicker sofas and chairs lend an easy ambience to
this family-friendly resort.
Amenities
Valet parking:
$5-15 per 24-hour period. Secured outside parking lot with
in/out privileges.
Self parking:
Self parking is complimentary.
Fees do not include tax and are subject to change without
prior notification.
The resort has two heated pools
and two tennis courts as well as a children's pool and
playground. Guests at the resort receive free shuttle
service to Walt Disney World theme parks and two other water
parks. In addition, guests receive priority seating at
select Disney restaurants and dinner shows.
Dining
Baskervilles
- A replica of the office of Sherlock Holmes is a highlight
of this spacious restaurant with lakefront views and
19th-century-inspired decor. It’s open for breakfast, lunch,
and dinner, and Disney characters make appearances during
breakfast on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Saturday
night is the MurderWatch Mystery Theatre dinner show
and buffet. Beef and seafood are specialties.
Crumpets Cafe - The
food court–style cafe just off the lobby is open 24 hours
daily, with a selection of self-serve breakfast, lunch,
dinner, and snack items. Movie rentals are also available
here. |
